Improving in every way on its predecessor, Bejeweled 2 takes the classic game of gem-swapping to euphoric new heights. Adapted from the original masterpiece, Bejeweled 2 game features four unique and entrancing ways to play. Besides the newly improved Classic mode, players can solve hand-crafted brain teasers in Puzzle mode, race against the clock in Action, or kick back and relax with the new Endless mode. This puzzling sequel includes explosive new pieces like Power Gems, Hyper Cubes, and Time Bombs; stunning 3D special effects and higher resolutions (up to 1024×768) and awe-inspiring planetary backdrops.

Bejeweled 2 is a matching game. You must match the colored jewels in lines of three horizontally or vertically to clear them from the board. You match gem by swapping two gems to create three of a kind. If there is no way left to match gems, you have lost the game. In the Bejeweled 2, if you match four gems at a time, you get a power gem. When you match a power gem with two basic gems of that type, the power gem will explode, taking the surrounding gems with it.
