Bejeweled 2 is a matching game. You must match the colored jewels in lines of three horizontally or vertically to clear them from the board. You match gem by swapping two gems to create three of a kind. If there is no way left to match gems, you have lost the game. In the Bejeweled 2, if you match four gems at a time, you get a power gem. When you match a power gem with two basic gems of that type, the power gem will explode, taking the surrounding gems with it.
